We are still lusting after one of our recent engagement ring commissions. Our founder David, and Sabrina's partner Tobias, designed this four claw reimagining of our classic emerald cut diamond
Arris ring. It's a sleek and modern engagement ring featuring a sumptuous natural diamond.
Hand carved in wax, so it is truly one of a kind, the angle of the stone setting holds significance to the couple, adding and extra layer of sentimentality. On this detail, Tobias said "I particularly enjoy the tilted stone, pointing representatively to Taipei and Jakarta, where we are both individually from."
"I wanted a ring that is unique, with a strong contemporary design, that carries a small representation of me and my partner. So when I stumbled upon McCaul's contemporary Arris ring while searching online, I was really excited as it ticks all three boxes."
"I was excited to incorporate my personal vision through the bespoke process. The first adjustment was to only have single line running through the band to simplify the profile. This line bifurcates on both sides of![]()

the stone to form four claws to hold the stone. The end result I think is a very simple relationship between the stone and the metal band, made special by the creasing and twisting language. I also think David really nailed the profile and proportion of the band, mediating the width of the stone and the thinnest part of the band."
"We got engaged after a nice long walk in Epping Forest, on Yardley Hill, which has a really great view of both the forest and, unexpectedly, the entire London skyline! It felt really special because we met in London despite neither of us actually are from this country."
